In the face of climate change and other environmental crises, there is an urgent need for people to act to reduce environmental damage. There is numerous evidence that pro-environmental behavior (PEB) is promoted by attitudes towards nature. However, development processes have only been little researched.
As a result, the following questions need to be addressed, for example:
- What roles do aspects - such as fear, feelings of guilt, moral obligation or social identity - play in this process?
- Does social origin reinforce these effects?
