In the study, the Moral Foundations Questionnaire 2 (MFQ-2) was analyzed with regard to the validity of the two superordinate factors "individualizing" and "binding".

The study examines the psychometric structure of moral value orientations in Ghana using the Moral Foundations Questionnaire-2 (MFQ-2). The results show that the six dimensions (authority, caring, equality, loyalty, proportionality and purity) could be confirmed as initial ordering factors, but the assumption and validity of the superordinate orientations "individualizing" and "binding" could only be weakly supported. It is emphasized that further research in non-WEIRD countries is necessary to verify the validity and robustness of the instrument.
